Data Scientist

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Job Description: Spotlight Labs is seeking a Data Scientist with the ability to cut across the specialties of data architect, data analyst and machine learning. Core competencies include:

Requirements:

- Understanding and experience with time series data
- Background in building the data architecture for a given problem set
- Highly experienced with MS Azure, SQL and cloud computing
- Proficiency in data science specific languages Python and R

Desired competencies:

- Understanding and experience with human physiology data
- Background in building or updating data architecture

Location: This is an in-person position, located at the company’s Camden, NJ office.

Additional Requirement: United States Citizenship is required. Due to the export controlled nature of the work at Spotlight Labs, a primary defense contractor, only US Citizens are eligible to apply.

Job type: This position is a full-time, in-person position. However, the possibility of other options may exist for the right mix of skills and experience, to include part-time or contract work.

Travel Required: Minimal travel is expected. The opportunity for optional travel does exist, as the company routinely conducts business on site at a variety of locations throughout the United States.

Minimum Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (written, verbal etc.) and ability to work both independently and part of a team are an absolute must. Must be proficient and highly experienced in data science / machine learning specialties. Experience with MS Azure and its capabilities, as well as SQL, is critical. The ability to structure data sets and assist with development or refine the data architecture and ingestion path is a requirement.

Desired Qualifications: Experience with the Department of Defense is a bonus, as is experience or familiarity with time sequenced biometric data. Familiarity with CMMC 2.0 / NIST 800 is helpful.
